A couple of weeks ago, the final developer preview for Android P was released. What this means is that this version of Android P is the final release for developers, which means that following this release, the next release will be the public build of Android P intended for all Android users.

Of course this begs the question of when will Android P be released? For those wondering, leakster Evan Blass seems to suggest that Android P could be released in the coming weeks. Blass posted an image of a calendar with the 20th of August marked with “P”, indicating that update could be coming soon.

This cannot be confirmed, of course, but Blass’ track record has been excellent so there is a chance he could be right. The release of Android P on the 20th of August is also very likely based on past releases of Android which has typically taken place in the later part of August, so just reaffirms our reasoning.

Either way if the date is accurate, we should be hearing from Google soon enough so do check back with us at a later date for more updates. Until then maybe temper your expectations and don’t get your hopes up just yet.
