Starting with the Swift 5, Acer claims that this is the lightest 15-inch laptop ever made which weighs in at 900 grams. This is thanks to the use of magnesium-lithium alloy for the chassis of the laptop which according to Acer, makes it particularly durable as it prevents any kind of bending or twisting.
Users will be able to choose between 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8565U and Core i5-8265U processors, and the laptops are said to be able to run for up to 10 hours on a single charge, with Windows 10 calling the shots. The laptop will also be able to support up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage, with a 15-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display.
They will be powered by Intel Core processors, support up to 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. There is also the option for users to add a discrete GPU in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce MX150.
As far as pricing is concerned, the 15-inch Swift 5 laptop will be priced starting at $1,099 and will be available in January 2019. As for the Swift 3, the 13-inch and 14-inch models will be priced starting at €799 and $800 respectively, with a launch pegged for October and November respectively.
