Ever since Huawei introduced its triple camera setup with the P20 Pro, fans of other Android OEMs have been wondering when their preferred brands would jump on the bandwagon as well. Samsung’s fans are particularly looking forward to the company introducing its triple camera setup as well. Previous reports have suggested that at least one Galaxy S10 model may feature it but the word on the street down in South Korea now is that Samsung may offer the triple camera with two models of its next flagships.
Previous reports have also suggested that the Galaxy S10 will be the first flagship from Samsung to be offered in three different models. The company is actually expected to launch a basic version of its next flagship in addition to the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+.
While it was initially believed that the larger screen size and the triple camera would differentiate the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, this report makes it seems that this may not be the case. It does mention that the Galaxy S10+ is going to have a dual camera on the front while the Galaxy S10 won’t so that may very well be the differentiating factor.
As far as the basic model is concerned, it’s expected to have a dual camera at the back so it may just retain the Galaxy S9+’s setup. None of this has been confirmed by Samsung so far and we can’t really expect it to in the near future given that the Galaxy S10 isn’t going to be released until next year.
