Last year it was confirmed that Netflix’s “Stranger Things” would be renewed for a third season, and just a few months ago, production began. That being said, many are probably wondering when the third season might be released, and unfortunately there is some bad news as it might arrive a little later than expected.
According to Netflix’s programming executive Cindy Holland, it seems that the third season for Stranger Things won’t be back until the summer of 2019. According to Holland, “It’s a handcrafted show. The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it’s going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.”
This means that taking into account the summer period, Stranger Things season 3 could be launched a minimum of 18 months after season 2, which like we said is a “delay” when you consider that it was around 15 months between the first and second season. However as Holland points out, it seems that the creators of the show are hoping to deliver an even more amazing season, so we’ll just have to wait.
In the meantime a teaser trailer for season 3 has been released (see video above) that you can check out if you need your fix of Stranger Things.
