Some of you may remember No Man’s Sky as a console exclusive for the PlayStation 4. The game has been limited to Sony’s gaming platform for nearly two years. It was confirmed by developer Hello Games earlier this year that the game would eventually be released for the Xbox One as well. This became true earlier this week when No Man’s Sky was finally released for the Xbox One.
No Man’s Sky was released for Xbox One owners in the United States on July 24th and European gamers on July 27th. This finally ended the console exclusivity that the PlayStation 4 has enjoyed for this title for almost two years since its launch. There’s no doubt that many Xbox One owners were waiting to try out this title.
A major update, Update 1.5, was released for this title earlier this week as well. It brings a full multiplayer experience to the game and also improves the graphics. Hello Games had previously revealed the multiplayer mode in a trailer and also confirmed that the base building mechanic would now be a shared experience between party members.
It remains to be seen, though, just how well this title is going to fare on the Xbox One particularly following its commendable run on the PlayStation 4.
