Apple has been focusing on enabling users to do much more with the iPad than they ever could. The company added many features with iOS 11 to offer PC-like functionality but there are still many core desktop apps that can’t run on the tablet just yet. At least Adobe seems to be stepping forward to bridge this gap. The company is reportedly developing a full version of its popular Photoshop app for the iPad.
A report from Bloomberg reveals that Adobe is planning to release a full version of Photoshop for the iPhone. The company is said to be planning an announcement for October this year with the actual release taking place in 2019.
Scott Belsky, the chief product officer for Creative Cloud at Adobe, confirmed that this new cross-platform edition of Photoshop is being developed but didn’t confirm or deny the timeline of the announcement or the release.
This certainly won’t be the first photo and imaging app from Adobe for iOS. It already offers multiple apps for the platform including Photoshop Express which is essentially a watered-down version of the real deal.
Belsky mentioned that there has been a great demand from the community to enable them to make meaningful edits to their photos even when they’re out and about. The full version of Photoshop for iPad will certainly help.
