According to EA CEO Andrew Wilson during the company’s Thursday financial call, “The ‘Battlefield 5’ beta results exceeded our expectations. The feedback was highly positive with players able to feel the advancements that DICE has focused on for the gameplay. This type of early play opportunity is now foundational to our development process. We are planning more hands-on opportunity for ‘Battlefield 5’ prior to launch.”
EA had recently held a closed alpha for the upcoming game which has since yielded pretty good results, which explains why the company is now looking for more opportunities for gamers to test the game ahead of its release. That being said, we know that there is an open beta that has been confirmed for September.
However we can only assume by that point in time the game would be relatively polished. No word on how gamers will be able to participate in the other betas, but we expect EA will share those details at a later date.
