This is applicable for cloud storage services as well where we’re also seeing an increase in the amount of storage offered. Now the good news is that if you’re a Dropbox user, it looks like Dropbox will be bumping your storage for free, although this is only applicable for users of their Professional and Business Standard accounts.
According to Dropbox, “As you collaborate on large files—like ultra hi-def video and interactive presentations—with co-workers and clients, your need for storage only increases. So we’re helping you store more by giving Dropbox Professional and Business Standard accounts an additional terabyte of space—with no change in price.”
For those on the Professional account, your storage will now be bumped up to 2TB, while Business Standard users will be bumped to 3TB. However these changes are only expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks, although if you are a new user who just signed up, then you should be able to see the new storage sizes.
