There have been many reports over the past couple of months that Samsung has a new tablet in the pipeline. The company is due to launch a successor to the Galaxy Tab S3 and it’s expected that it will unveil the Galaxy Tab S4 in the coming months. The fact that the tablet has now received its FCC certification does suggest that the official launch may not be that far off.

The listing doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming tablet other than reiterating the fact that it’s going to have model number SM-T835. This is going to be the LTE-compatible model and there’s also another model in the works, SM-T830, which will be Wi-Fi only.

The FCC listing for this tablet does contain a visual sketch of the tablet’s rear panel to showcase where the FCC ID will be placed. The “Tuned by AKG” logo can also be seen at the back which suggests that it’s going to carry forward the enhanced audio experience that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy Tab S3 last year.

Previous reports suggest that the Galaxy Tab S4 is going to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It may also feature a 7,300mAh battery and a 2560×1600 pixel resolution 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Tab S4 in the coming months, possibly at the IFA 2018 trade show in September.
