Apple is reportedly going to introduce multiple new AirPod models next year. Previous reports have suggested that the company is developing an over-ear high-end model which will feature noise-canceling. They are said to offer improved sound quality. A new report claims that Apple is also developing a new set of wireless AirPods which will feature noise cancellation.
Bloomberg reports that Apple is developing new high-end wireless AirPods that will be water resistant and feature noise cancellation. The report mentions that these AirPods may be released in 2019. It also predicts a delay in the release of the aforementioned over-ear model which was initially believed to be due for release by the end of this year.
Alongside these two new models, Apple may also be working on a modest upgrade for the existing AirPods which may only feature an improved wireless chip for more range and support for activating Siri hands-free. This particular model is expected to arrive later this year. Apple may also launch a new case for the AirPods which will support its much-delayed AirPower wireless charging mat.
Last but not the least, Apple is also said to be developing a new HomePod speaker that it will launch in 2019 but there are no details available at this point in time about what it might bring to the table.
