Quite a lot of fashion brands have already launched their Wear OS (Android Wear) smartwatches but Marc Jacobs decided to be fashionably late to the party. It has just now launched its first smartwatch powered by Google’s wearable operating system. Even though the company already offers two different watches under the Riley brand, the Riley Touchscreen is the fashion brand’s first Wear OS smartwatch.
The other Riley-branded smartwatches that Marc Jacobs already sells include a conventional watch and a hybrid smartwatch. This new product is the first touchscreen and Wear OS-powered smartwatch from the brand.
Not a lot of details are available about the smartwatch just yet but it’s not going to be that different from smartwatches made by other brands, in that it will use the same Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip. It also features a 1.19 inch AMOLED display, IP67 water resistance, and wireless charging.
Prices for the Marc Jacobs Riley Touchscreen watch start at $295 with a black silicone strap and matte black case. The one with a white silicone strap also costs the same. There’s a $350 model as well which features a black croco silicone strap and a matte black case. Both models are available for purchase right now through Target.
