The good news is that this could be coming to the next build of macOS, according to a post on Twitter by developer Steve Troughton-Smith. According to the post, it seems that there was a hidden video on the Mac App Store that revealed that showed off what appears to be dark mode on macOS. The video has since been taken down, but the fact that it was on the Mac App Store makes it pretty official.

In addition to the reveal of dark mode, Troughton-Smith also discovered other potential features coming to macOS, such as a News app and video previews for the App Store. Apple is expected to officially announce the next macOS major update at WWDC 2018 which kicks off tomorrow, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that all these features will be confirmed at the event, so check back with us tomorrow for all the details.
