In an announcement on its website, 2K has announced that they will be shutting down Evolve’s dedicated servers come 3rd of September, 2018. This means that certain aspects of the game will no longer be available. “Evolve’s dedicated servers will be shutting down on September 3, 2018. This means several game features will no longer be available, such as Hunt (Ranked), leaderboards, and the in-game store. Stage 2 will no longer be available on PC, and players will have plenty of opportunity to spend their in-game and virtual currency before the store is removed.”
However this does not mean that the game will no longer be playable after that. As 2K points out, peer-to-peer multiplayer will still be available on PC and console, and all purchased DLCs such as Hunters, Monsters, and skins will not be removed. This means that the only thing going away will be dedicated servers which could potentially mean that depending on who you are playing with, there might be some latency and reliability issues, but your mileage may vary.
