It has been a while since Capcom came out with a new Devil May Cry title. It was reported back in November last year that Devil May Cry 5 has been in development for more than two years now and that it’s going to be a more ambitious game than its predecessors with a bigger scope. Some additional details were also revealed at that time. Capcom is yet to say anything about the title so far but some evidence has surfaced which suggests that it may make an official announcement in the not too distant future.

Capcom has reportedly registered a domain for Devil May Cry 5 through the GMO Internet Group. It’s said to have registered domains related to other properties like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter World through the group as well.

The domain devilmaycry5.com was reportedly registered merely a couple of weeks ago which some believe is an indication that the game will be officially announced soon. Anyone can buy a domain so a mere registration shouldn’t mean anything but it’s pertinent to mention here that the domain was registered through GMO Internet Group, a legitimate online services provider based in Japan, which has previously registered domains for Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter World.

The company registered the domains of these recent Capcom games shortly before they were officially announced so its registration of a domain for Devil May Cry 5 leads us to reasonably assume that an official announcement of the new game isn’t that far off now.
