ASUS today announced the availability of the ZenFone 5Q, it’s latest mid-range smartphone that features a four-camera system as it has dual cameras at the front and back. The camera is unquestionably the unique selling point of this handset as it’s a bonafide mid-range handset otherwise. ASUS has confirmed availability of the handset today, it’s also immediately available for purchase in the United States.
The ZenFone 5Q has a four-camera system with a 20 megapixel front and 16 megapixel rear camera paired with a secondary 120° wide-angle camera each. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K UHD video as well. It also features a 6 inch Full HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with 4GB RAM, Android Oreo, a fingerprint sensor, and a 3,300mAh battery.
ASUS explains that the camera system in this handset is different from other devices because those systems only work in conjunction with the main camera to capture additional detail or apply special effects. The ZenFone 5Q’s four cameras can be used individually so users have complete flexibility when they’re taking shots, both standard and ultrawide, using the rear and front cameras.
The ZenFone 5Q is available starting today in Midnight Black and Moonlight White colors for $299 from Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, and Newegg.
