Clearly the aesthetics are what ASUS is going for with these laptops. According to the company, they have opted to do away with “boring laptop colors” and have gone for “striking hues that catch the eye” which are Firmament Green, Star Grey, Silver Blue, Gun Metal, and Icicle Gold, with the former featuring a textured woven finish surrounding the keyboard while the latter has a brushed finish with diamond-inspired motifs.
The design of the laptops will also feature NanoEdge displays which basically means thinner bezels for the displays. This means that effectively the laptops are smaller than your average 15.6-inch or 14-inch laptops. As for performance, we’re looking at the use of 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors with 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA GPUs, with the 15.6-inch model allowing for dual-storage designs that give users both an SSD and HDD.
As for pricing, ASUS has not mentioned pricing for either laptop yet. However the VivoBook S15 will be available late June and ASUS will announce the availability of the S14 at a later date.
