This was one of the selling points of the iPhone X, but it seems that despite there being some obvious benefits, analysts think that the LCD iPhone will make up for the bulk of iPhone sales this year according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. In a way we can’t say we’d be too surprised if the report turns out to be accurate.
This is because the LCD iPhone is also expected to be cheaper than the OLED models. There are rumors claiming that the LCD iPhone could omit certain features found in other iPhones., which ultimately also could result in a cheaper iPhone. Because of the lower price tag, there might be some who would rather not spend too much on the OLED models.
After all many had balked at the $1,000 price tag of the iPhone X, and we doubt that Apple will be dropping prices anytime soon. In any case we’ll have to wait and see. Apple is expected to announce their new iPhones this coming September and if the reports are true, we can expect at least three new models.
