New Leica Mirrorless Camera Rumored For June

If you’re in the market for a new mirrorless camera and have the cash to spare, you might be interested to learn that Leica could have something for you. A report from Leica Rumors has revealed that Leica might have a new mirrorless camera that they plan on announcing this coming June.

Details are scarce but if the rumors are to be believed, it will be a full-frame mirrorless camera that will be a bridge between Leica’s CL and SL models, and the report claims that it will most likely be named the Leica CM (or C-M). It will feature a brand new sensor that is said to make it excellent at low-light photography, and also offer up high dynamic range capabilities.

In addition to announcing a new mirrorless camera, the June event is also expected to see Leica introduce at least five new mirrorless lenses that will be added to Leica’s existing setup and are expected to be released over the next 18-24 months, so if you’re already a Leica shooter then these lenses could be worth looking forward to.

No word on pricing but given Leica’s previous releases, we expect that it will not come cheap, so be prepared to pay if this is something you think you might want to add to your collection.
