Last year was an interesting year for Nintendo where together with Ubisoft, they launched a game called Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. This featured characters from Nintendo’s Mario franchise and Ubisoft’s Rabbids, which like we said was an interesting and successful combination.
The game went on to become the best-selling third-party title. Now it looks like that partnership will be taken one step further as the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC has been announced and a new gameplay trailer has been released. As the name suggests, the DLC will feature characters from Donkey Kong, as well as a new hero in the form of Rabbid Cranky.
According to Nintendo’s description, “Embark in an epic battle against a vengeful Rabbid Kong who uses his new powers to take over a mysterious island. Donkey Kong, Rabbid Peach, and a moody new Rabbid hero, Rabbid Cranky, will team up on a journey across four brand-new environments. Discover a world full of reinvented tactical gameplay, new enemies, and secrets to uncover.”
The Donkey Kong Adventure will be part of the season pass for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, so if you’ve purchased it you should be able to get your hands on it when it is released this spring.
