Disney first announced its ESPN+ sports live streaming service a few months ago and finally launched it in April. Subscribers can get access to more than 10,000 live sporting events through the service and starting next year, they will also be able to stream exclusive UFC fights through ESPN+. The UFC content on the service will also include pre- and post-event shows.
Disney and UFC have inked a multi-year agreement to bring exclusive UFC content to ESPN+. This agreement will take effect in January 2019. This agreement will bring 15 live UFC flights exclusively to the sports streaming service and will be branded as “UFC on ESPN+ Fight Night” with a full card of 12 UFC bouts.
What’s good for fans is that they will not have to pay extra to get the UFC content. It’s included in the $4.99 per month that they have to pay for the service. In addition to the live fights, they will also get access to other UFC content which includes a new original series, new seasons of Dana White’s Contender Series starting in June 2019, UFC Countdown shows, press conferences, and more.
Fans will be able to purchase and watch UFC Fight Pass and UFC PPV events through the streaming service for an additional charge.
