For those unfamiliar, back in 2017 DC announced plans for their own streaming service and now it looks like it has an official name and website. According to DC, “DC Universe is a first-of-its kind, immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans. One of the many incredible things your membership will include is unlimited access to the following exclusive original series.”
They have also announced four upcoming series based on the DC universe which includes DC Titans. Young Justice Outsiders, Harley Quinn, and Swamp Thing in which Aquaman director James Wan will be serving as its executive producer. It is expected to premiere in 2019 but whether or not it will launch ahead of Disney’s own streaming service remains to be seen.
In terms of what else has been planned it is unclear, and there was also no mention of how much the service could cost, but we expect that additional details will be revealed ahead of the official release.
