These come in the form of the Acer Chromebook Spin 15 and Spin 13. In terms of specs, we’re looking at the use of 15.6-inch and 13.5-inch displays, but the Spin will feature a FHD+ resolution while the Spin 15 will sport a FHD resolution. Whether or not these differences will be noticeable will depend on the user and their needs.
Under the hood, the Spin 15 will offer a variety of Intel processors to choose from, and can be configured to pack either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, with 32GB or 64GB of storage. As for the Spin 13, it can be configured up to an Intel Core i3-8130U processor and will support up to 16GB of RAM, along with 32GB or 64GB storage options.
In case the name wasn’t already obvious, are laptops that run on Google’s Chrome OS. This means that if you wanted the full functionality afforded by Windows-based laptops, or need to use certain apps that only run on Windows, then these are not for you. However if you want something simple that lets you surf the web, watch videos, and do basic tasks, then these could be for you.
The pricing of the Spin 13 was not mentioned, but the Spin 15 will be priced starting at $449 and will be available this July.
