It appears that more and more manufacturers are getting into gaming smartphones as yet another Chinese smartphone maker is going to launch its gaming smartphone in the near future. Previous reports had already revealed that ZTE would introduce the Red Magic gaming brand to its Nubia lineup and the first product that will be launched as part of this brand will be a gaming smartphone called the Nubia “Red Devil.” It’s expected to be unveiled later this week.

Not much information is available as yet about the device’s specifications but one can reasonably expect that it’s going to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor which is a chip you find on most Android flagships anyway this year. It may also feature up to 8GB of RAM, pretty standard fare for a gaming smartphone.

Some images of the device have been released by Nubia itself on its Weibo account. The images lineup with previous reports that the handset is going to have an all-metal body and a red button at the top but it’s unclear what this button will be for. Some predict that it’s going to offer a performance boost while others believe that it could be for ZTE’s Maverick voice assistant.

All this and more will be revealed when the company officially unveils the device on April 19th.
