However the good news for non-Chrome users is that it looks like Google is slowly loosening its grip on YouTube TV’s browser requirements. According to YouTube TV’s support page, it seems that Mozilla’s Firefox browser has been added to the list of compatible browsers. The support page does not mention which particular versions are supported, but presumably it will be the latest one so users should probably upgrade to be safe.
This brings the total number of support browsers up to two: Chrome and Firefox, which is hardly the most comprehensive support but we suppose it’s a start. The support page also mentions that support for more browsers is expected to arrive in the future, so if you’re using Opera, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and so on, you guys will just have to wait it out.
In the meantime for those using Firefox, you can head on over to YouTube TV and take it for a spin if you haven’t done so already.
