In the latest update, the game adds support for widescreen displays, which means that gamers who have newer and wider monitors will be able to enjoy the game in a new way. There will also be a cleaner interface and while it isn’t the HD remake that we’re sure that many were hoping for, we suppose it’ll have to do for now.
In addition to the updated AI and support for widescreen displays, Blizzard has announced that the game lobbies has been expanded to support 24 players with 12 new team colors. This means that players will be able to enjoy massive free-for-alls. There will also be a bunch of bug fixes and improvements to the game in general.
It is unclear as to where all of this is headed. Like we said Warcraft 3 is a very old game and we’re not sure what updating the game means for the franchise. Could it mean that Blizzard might have a new Warcraft game to announce at BlizzCon 2018? Or could it be nothing and is just Blizzard continuing support for an old game.
