T-Mobile is making it even easier for its subscribers who own Apple devices to contact customer support. The carrier has announced that it’s supporting Business Chat for iPhone which Apple announced a couple of weeks ago. It’s the first carrier in the country to do this. It’s enabling Apple device owners to contact customer support through iMessage so the entire process is as easy as sending someone a message through the native messaging app on an iPhone.
It’s not like this is the first time that T-Mobile is enabling subscribers to contact customer support through messaging. The T-Mobile app has already offered this functionality since 2016 and it’s available for platforms other than iOS as well.
There are a couple of ways that subscribers can get in touch with T-Mobile through iMessage. They can simply swipe right on their iPhone and search for T-Mobile or they can search for T-Mobile in Maps and click on the Chat icon.
They will be able to change their rate plan, address, and even buy a new phone through iMessage. Users can also ask questions, make payments, check balance as well as get help to troubleshoot issues.
Apple may be calling this feature Business Chat but that doesn’t mean T-Mobile will only be catering to its business customers through iMessage. The company has confirmed in its press release that consumers and enterprise customers can both take advantage of this feature.
