Stardew Valley Multiplayer Beta Is Now Live

So we know that Stardew Valley fans have been waiting for the game’s multiplayer feature to be released, and the good news is that it looks like we’re one step closer to seeing it launched. According to an announcement on the Stardew Valley website, it seems that the multiplayer beta for the game is live.

Gamers who are interested in participating will have to sign up for it and unfortunately for now, it is only available for PC gamers via Steam. This means that other platforms, such as the Nintendo Switch, will have to wait. However like we said the fact that the beta is now live means that we’re one step closer to its release, but when exactly that will take place remains to be seen.

For those unfamiliar with the multiplayer aspect of Stardew Valley, basically players will be able to play with their friends and share a farm. They can live on the farm together and even get married to each other instead of marrying the NPCs, if they so choose to do so. There will be support for up to 4 players, with each other player apart from the host requiring a cabin to live in, so players will need to build a home for their friends to stay.

Alternatively players can start from scratch where cabins are already built, so if that’s the route you’re going then that could also be worth checking out. Presumably this will be the same case for multiplayer on other platforms, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information about that in the future.
