It has been rumored for a couple of months that Motorola has a new Moto G6 series in the pipeline and we now know when the new handsets will be unveiled by the Lenovo-owned company. The first leaks about the Moto G6 series surfaced a couple of months ago and much is already known about these handsets. They were recently spotted at a certification body as well which suggested that the launch wasn’t that far off.

The Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play will be the first mid-range smartphones that Motorola launches in 2018. An invite has surfaced from Brazil where Motorola has notified the press to “save the date” for an event that it’s going to conduct on April 19th. Reports suggest that it’s going to unveil the Moto G6 series at this event.

Previous reports have revealed that these are all going to be bona fide mid-range devices with specifications to match and will be relatively affordable. Motorola is expected to release them before the end of this month.

What the company hasn’t revealed as yet is whether the event in Sao Paulo, Brazil is going to be a global event which will confirm the launch of the new Moto G6 series or if it’s going to be a local affair meant to introduce the company’s customers in the country to its new mid-range handsets. We’ll come to know for sure on April 19th.
