However it seems that even before the LG G7 has been officially announced, it looks like LG could already be working on the LG V40, or at least that’s what leakster Evan Blass is getting at in his latest tweet where he claims that the LG V40 will be developed under the codename “Storm”.

At this point in time it’s really anyone’s guess as to what the LG V40 will be featuring. Chances are it will use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and if LG’s recent practices are anything to go by, we could be getting the same ThinQ branding/treatment where LG could focus on introducing AI features to the phone.
Also given that LG ditched the secondary ticker display in last year’s LG V30, it seems highly unlikely that it will be making a comeback this year. In any case it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information, especially on the upcoming LG G7.
