Blizzard has confirmed that the expansion will be available come 12th of April which is this coming Thursday so fans of the game can keep an eye out for it. The expansion will be adding 135 new cards to the game and will also mark the Year of the Raven, which means that just like Blizzard promised, older cards will be phased out of rotation.
This is similar to other card games such as Magic: the Gathering where cards from older expansions are phased out of the current competitive play season. They are still playable in older formats but in terms of main competitions, they will not be allowed, which is something similar that Blizzard is going for.
Gamers who are interested in getting their hands on The Witchwood expansion can do so by pre-ordering it via Blizzard’s website. It is priced at $50 and is basically players buying 50 packs of the current expansion in which they can start building their decks with.
