Google’s Grasshopper App Teaches You How To Code On Your Phone

These days it is becoming clear that learning how to code, or at least understanding the concepts of programming, is an important skill to have. So much so that we’ve seen various companies such as Apple launch initiatives that teach children how to code, ingraining in them the knowledge at a young age.

However Apple isn’t alone and Google has since launched their latest coding education efforts in the form of an app dubbed Grasshopper. This is an app designed for smartphones that will teach users how to code JavaScript on their phones. This seems like a beginner’s guide to coding so if you already possess some knowledge, it probably wasn’t designed for you.

According to Google, “Grasshopper is the best way to start your coding adventure with fun, quick games on your phone that teach you to write real JavaScript. Move through progressively challenging levels as you develop your abilities, then graduate with fundamental programming skills for your next step as a coder.”
