We’re not sure what took Google so long to roll out Google Assistant for the Pixel C, but we guess better late than never. However it should be noted that not all of Google Assistant’s features are available on the Pixel C, such as Lens, but apart from that it should function pretty much the same way as it does on smartphones.
Also as 9to5Google points out, Google Assistant on the Pixel C supports landscape mode which is something it doesn’t seem to offer on other Android tablets. It’s not really a big deal but for the sake of convenience, it does save users time from having to rotate their tablets just to use Google Assistant.
That being said, it is unclear as to what the future holds for the Pixel C tablet. Last December Google removed the Pixel C from its online store which prompted speculation that it could be discontinued. Whether or not we’ll be seeing a successor remains to be seen, but at the very least we know that the Pixel 3 is in the works.
