When Fortnite Battle Royale was launched on iOS, we heard that it managed to pull in an estimated $1.5 million in 4 days. It turns out that the game isn’t slowing down because according to the latest figures by Sensor Tower (via 9to5Mac), it has been reported the game has now managed to earn $25 million in its first month.
What’s amazing about these stats is that Fortnite Battle Royale for mobile is still only available on iOS. An Android version has been planned but there is no word on when it will be released. What this means is that assuming the hype and excitement surrounding the game can be maintained, the Android version of the game should prove to be a cash cow as well.
In fact Sensor Tower estimates that Fortnite Battle Royale could very well be on its way to earn as much as $500 million this year, which combines both iOS and Android earnings. This means that taking into account the money it makes from other platforms, it looks like Epic has quite the money-earner on its hands.
Of course Fortnite Battle Royale isn’t without competition as there is also Tencent’s mobile version of PUBG which is also very popular amongst gamers.
