For those who have played Blizzard’s Diablo franchise are probably very familiar with one of the game’s characters, and no, we’re not talking about Diablo. Instead we’re talking about Deckard Cain whose famous line, “Stay awhile and listen” is probably burnt into the memory of many a Diablo player.
Now for those who played Diablo 3, you’re probably familiar with the fate of the character, but not to worry because you’ll be able to see him again! This is thanks to Blizzard’s recent announcement in which they revealed that Deckard Cain will be added to the roster of their MOBA Heroes of the Storm.
Yup, you read that right in what seems like an April Fools joke, Blizzard is being pretty serious about this. In fact there is some precedent to this move. Back in 2016 Blizzard responded to community suggestions about adding characters to the roster, and Deckard Cain was actually one of them.
We suppose just like last time it seemed like a joke or a funny idea at best, but as you can see in the video above, Blizzard is pretty dead serious. The hero will be a healer character that has synergy with his team as he can regen faster while close to team mates, heal them, and also gain armor. The character will focus on stuns/slows which means that if you’re looking for a DPS hero, he won’t be it. Deckard Cain will be added to the roster later this month so do keep an eye out for him.
