Apple Could Launch Two 6.1-inch iPhones Priced As Low As $550

Apple is rumored to launch three new iPhones this year. If the rumors are to be believed, one will continue to feature the iPhone X’s 5.8-inch OLED display, while there will be a higher-end model with a larger 6.5-inch OLED display. There are also rumors of a 6.1-inch LCD model which will apparently be the lost-cost version.

Now according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, more details about the rumored low-cost iPhone has emerged. According to Kuo, he claims that Apple is expected to launch at least two versions of the 6.1-inch model and will be introducing dual-SIM support for iPhones for the first time ever.

The first variant will be the regular 6.1-inch LCD iPhone with one SIM card slot. The other is rumored to offer dual-SIM support but other than that, its specs are said to be identical. On top of that, the LCD models are also said to be considerably cheaper and could be priced starting at $550.

Considering that as it stands the iPhone X costs $1,000 for the base model and with 2018’s models being priced upwards of that, $550 does seem like an outright steal at almost half the price. Of course this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll probably have to wait until the later part of the year for more details.
