The name pretty much says it all and based on the image above, it looks like your standard fare gaming laptop. This means that under the hood it will pack some serious specs, serious enough for gamers to take their gaming on the go. It will feature an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 160 GPU, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, 1TB of hard drive storage, and will be powered by Intel’s Kaby Lake Core i7-7700 HQ processor.
There will also be cheaper options offered with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU and 8GB of RAM with a 128GB SSD. However what’s odd is that for a gaming laptop, the computer will only sport a 15.6-inch Full HD display. We’re not sure what’s up with that, but it is possible that Xiaomi is hoping to keep it powerful but still somewhat affordable.
Other features include Dolby Atmos tuned speakers, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB-C ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack along with a high-powered amp. As for pricing, the top of the line model will retail for around $1,440 while the lower end model will be priced at $960. That being said, this might not be Xiaomi’s only gaming ambition as we have been hearing rumors about a gaming smartphone in the work.
