The good news is that if you were looking forward to getting your hands on the Mirage Camera, you’ll be pleased a tweet from The Tracker (via Engadget) has revealed that the Mirage Camera is now available for pre-order on Amazon. It is priced at $300 which isn’t necessarily cheap, but if you wanted to get into developing VR content this is a place to start.
For those learning about the Mirage Camera for the first time, this is a camera with dual lenses that is capable of shooting VR with a 180-degree viewing angle. Granted this isn’t as panoramic compared to 360-degree setups, but it is a lot more convenient to bring around to capture with. It is also Daydream compatible which means that the content captured on it will play nicely with Google’s Daydream devices.
The Mirage Solo headset recently went up for pre-order as well where it is priced at $400, meaning that the entire package with the camera will set you back a cool $700.
