Previously it was indicated that the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise will begin filming in 2019, but for those wondering if it is true, director Steven Spielberg has confirmed that Indiana Jones 5 will begin filming next year. However exactly what the story will be about remains to be seen.Speaking at the Rakuten TV Empire Awards, Spielberg was quoted as saying, “It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here.”
It is presumed that Harrison Ford will be returning in the titular role as Indiana Jones. Previously it was speculated that Shia LeBeouf could take over the mantle of Indiana Jones given his role in the previous movie, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. However John Rhys-Davies did state that he would love to see his character Sallah return.
In any case we guess at the very earliest we might be able to expect a trailer is in 2019 so fans will have quite a bit of waiting to do.
