A new Huawei P20 Pro leak has revealed the details about the handset’s triple camera system. Huawei has heavily been hyping up the triple camera system in its teasers for the P20 Pro and it’s certainly going to be one of the most anticipated features of its upcoming device. The Huawei P20 Pro is going to have a 40 megapixel main sensor that the company has co-developed with Leica.

This 40 megapixel sensor will reportedly be coupled with an 8 megapixel telephoto camera with hybrid zoom. The handset will be able to provide 5x magnification. This gets the main dual camera setup out of the way.

All of the leaked Huawei P20 Pro renders we have seen so far have featured a third camera below the the first two sensors. This is now said to be a 20 megapixel monochrome sensor which will also help out with depth-of-field or bokeh effects by relying on Laser Autofocus and an IR-RGB sensor.

A recently leaked Huawei P20 Pro teaser suggested that the handset might offer improved slow motion video recording functionality as well. This report claims that the device will be capable of shooting slow motion video at 960 frames per second at 720p which is the similar to what the Galaxy S9 can do.

Other specifications are said to include a 19:9 aspect ratio 6.1 inch OLED display with 1080×2240 pixel resolution and a 24 megapixel front-facing camera housed in a notch. A 4,000mAh battery may also be on board alongside Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor. The Huawei P20 Pro is expected to be priced at €900 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

Huawei is going to officially unveil the Huawei P20 lineup on March 27th in Paris.
