According to Blass, HTC’s next flagship smartphone will bear the HTC U12+ branding and is meant to compete against some of the higher-end smartphones in the market today, like Samsung’s Galaxy S9+. The report claims that the upcoming smartphone will feature a 6-inch display with a WQHD+ resolution and a pair of 8MP front-facing cameras.
It is also rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with 6GB of RAM and could come with 64GB or 128GB storage options, along with a microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a 3,420mAh battery. There are also rumors of dual rear-facing cameras of differing megapixels, with one sporting a 16MP sensor and the other a 12MP sensor.
It is also expected that the phone will support HTC’s Edge Sense hardware feature that debuted with last year’s HTC U11. This seems to be in line with an earlier report, except that now instead of it being known as the HTC U12, it could be launched as the HTC U12+. Take it with a grain of salt but it is unclear as to when the phone in question might be launched.
