However it looks like we could be close to seeing it released, according to a report from Droid-Life in which they have spotted support pages for the upcoming feature on Google’s website. This seems to hint that the feature could be arriving soon, otherwise why would Google bother uploading the support pages so soon, right?
For those unfamiliar, Routines will be launched with six routines out of the door. This includes, “good morning, bedtime, leaving home, I’m home, commuting to work, and commuting home,” all of which can be customized to the user’s liking and preference. For example users can use the “good morning” routine with Google Home to disable their phone’s silent mode, turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, all within a single command.
The same can be said for “leaving home”, where users can use it to enable home security cameras, motion sensors, turn off the lights and thermostat, and so on. Assuming the feature will be rolling out soon, users can look forward to it in the Google Home app via the “More Settings” section.
