For those worried about Sony’s upcoming God of War, you’ll be pleased to learn that the game will not feature microtransactions. This was confirmed by the game’s director Cory Barlog in which he stated unequivocally that the game will not have microtransactions. This means that when gamers buy God of War, they’ll be pleased to learn that they won’t need to spend extra money on in-game items like skins, costumes, weapons, and so on.
No freakin way!!!

Barlog had also previously stated that God of War will not feature a Season Pass, which for those unfamiliar is a way for developers to presell DLCs/expansions upfront. However the denial that there is no season pass does not in any way confirm that there won’t be DLCs later on, but we guess if and when there are DLCs, they will be sold when they are released and not like a year in advance, which is what sometimes Season Passes tend to encourage.
God of War is currently slated for a release on the 20th of April, 2018 where it will be an exclusive title to the PS4.
