Everyone’s favorite dystopian fiction show Black Mirror has been renewed for a fifth season. Netflix confirmed the news about Black Mirror season 5 on Twitter, sending out a cryptic teaser with the tagline “Be Right Back.” The fourth season of Black Mirror was released on Netflix late last year so it’s going to be a while before the next season is ready for release.
Netflix picked up this show from Charlie Brooker and executive producer Annabel Jones after the two launched it with the UK’s Channel 4. The third and fourth seasons then premiered on the online streaming service.
Not a lot of information has been revealed so far about the upcoming season but that’s to be expected. We don’t normally get a lot of information about what’s going to be included in the upcoming season of Black Mirror in the months leading up to its release.
One can be sure that Black Mirror season 5 will try to push the boundaries of dystopian fiction even further. The fourth season of Charlie Brooker’s anthology series covered topics such as robotic dogs, dating apps, and more.
What Netflix hasn’t revealed so far is when the next season of Black Mirror is going to be released and how many episodes there will be in the fifth season.
