Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision Eclipse TV Wood Edition Revealed

Bang & Olufsen are known for their stylish audio and video products, such as speakers and televisions, and for the most part they do not come cheap. Take for example last year’s BeoVision Eclipse which was launched for a whopping $11,000. However it seems that the company isn’t letting up as they have since launched the BeoVision Eclipse Wood Edition.

For the most part, the Wood Edition is the same version as last year’s model, at least in terms of hardware specs. However the main difference would be the introduction of a handmade speaker cover made out of oak, which according to Bang & Olufsen will add “elegance, warmth and high-end craftmanship” to any interior.

Thankfully it seems that for the most part, the Wood Edition will not be priced higher than the regular version. The 55-inch model will continue to remain priced at around $11,000, while the 65-inch model will cost $15,000. Neither of which is considered affordable by any means, but if you have the cash to splash then perhaps it could be worth checking.

For those unfamiliar with the BeoVision Eclipse, this is a TV that is powered by LG’s webOS 3.5 operating system. It will come with 4K UHD resolution and also support for HDR, and will also feature a 3-channel soundbar built into the TV itself (which is where the wooden speaker cover goes). In terms of specs and features it is pretty standard, but we’re guessing that design is what Bang & Olufsen is hoping will set it apart from the competition.
