However could 2018 be the year that we see characters from other console platforms come to Super Smash Bros.? If Xbox boss Phil Spencer had his way, it seems that he wouldn’t mind seeing Banjo and Kazooie make their way into the game. This is actually not the first time that Spencer had suggested the idea.
Yep.

Back when Nintendo was creating DLCs for Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS, he made a similar suggestion, and now fast forward a few years later, it’s still something he would be interested in. What’s interesting is the fact that the franchise was originally published for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998 before ultimately landing at Microsoft Game Studios who helped publish the latest title Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts back in 2008.
The Smash Bros. franchise isn’t a stranger to including characters from other non-Nintendo video games, like Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and Sonic, just to name a few, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Banjo and Kazooie could be added to the list. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen. In the meantime Super Smash Bros. for the Switch is available for pre-order on Amazon.
