If you’ve been looking forward to Avengers: Infinity War, you will be interested to learn that Marvel has since released a new trailer for the upcoming movie. This trailer gives us some scenes that weren’t released in the previous trailers, but if you’re trying to avoid spoilers of any kind then maybe you should give this a miss.
However for those who don’t care, the new trailer gives us more glimpses at Thanos and how he and his flunkies face off against the cast of the Avengers. However as many have since pointed out, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man are conspicuously missing from both the trailer and the new poster that was released, so what’s the deal?
Speaking to Slashfilm, the Russo brothers (who directed the movie) said, “Coming out of Civil War, he’s in the same position that Cap and Falcon are at the end of that movie. And Ant-Man. Coming into this movie, you know… Characters on Cap’s side coming out of the Civil War, some made certain decisions and others made other decisions that led to different paths in them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So Hawkeye’s on his own journey in this movie.”
The Russo brothers also add that the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp movie will have elements from the Avengers movie, and will show signs of it being impacted by the events in the movie. Avengers: Infinity War is set for a release on the 27th of April, 2018, which is about a week earlier than what Marvel had previously announced.
