In a post on Twitter, Yahoo’s customer support writes, “We are aware that some Yahoo Mail users are currently seeing issues when accessing their emails through a Mail app. We apologize to those affected and are working quickly to fix it. You can try using the web or Yahoo Mail app to access your email in the meantime.”

Note that this seems to only affect users who access the app via the Mail app. This means that if you are having issues accessing your email that way, you can try downloading the dedicated Yahoo Mail app or access your emails through the web via a computer. It is unclear as to what might be causing the problem for users, but as 9to5Mac points out, this has been an issue that users have been reporting since December last year.
The fact that there are still a ton of users who are having problems two months later is a bit worrying and could affect the confidence of users expecting a fix.
