Samsung has recently published its UNPACKED 2018 app which is an app meant to get their fans and users ready for the Galaxy S9’s announcement. However a report from XDA has revealed that hidden in the app are 3D models that lets users use the app’s augmented reality feature to “try” the Galaxy S9.
These 3D models were discovered after Reddit user thesbros decompiled the app, and from what we can tell it looks like these renders by Samsung pretty much lineup with what we’ve been seeing so far. It also confirms that Samsung will be using different camera setups for the Galaxy S9 and S9+, and also the various color schemes that the phone will be available in.
For those who are interested, yes it looks like Samsung will indeed be keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack for the Galaxy S9 and S9+. In any case we have less than a week to go before it is all revealed in full, so do check back with us next week for all the official details.
