Rockstar confirmed in late 2016 that it’s working on Red Dead Redemption 2, the long-awaited sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption title that came out back in 2010. The title was originally supposed to be released in the fall last year but the company delayed it to spring 2018 in May 2017. Those who have been looking forward to the title may not like hearing this but Rockstar has now announced that it has delayed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release yet again.
“While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish,” Rockstar said in its announcement today, adding that it sincerely thanks fans for their patience and hopes that when they get to play the game, they will agree that it has been worth the wait. To soften the blow that it has dealt Red Dead Redemption fans today, Rockstar released some new screenshots from the upcoming title.
The developer had said last year that it would release the title in spring 2018 but didn’t offer a precise date at that point in time. After announcing the delay today, the company has apologized to everyone that’s disappointed by this latest development.
Rockstar says that Red Dead Redemption 2 release is nwo going to take place on October 26th, 2018.
