LG G6 And LG V30 To Get Android Enterprise Recommended Certification

Google has launched an Android Enterprise Recommended program to certify Android smartphones for business users. The program will make it easier for large organizations looking to deploy Android smartphones to see the range of models that are guaranteed to receive timely security updates for a minimum of three years. The LG G6 and LG V30 will both be certified as Android Enterprise Recommended devices.

LG announced today that both premium smartphones will receive the Android Enterprise Recommended approval as part of the Google-led program after an upgrade to Android 8.1. The LG G6 and LG V30 are also backed by the LG GATE or Guarded Access to Enterprise platform that delivers additional security and manageability of enterprise data on mobile devices.

Devices that receive this certification will ensure a delivery of a consistent set of features that are validated by Google. This includes timely security updates and enterprise-focused features. Both the LG V30 and LG G6 support deployment options such as zero-touch enrollment. It allows IT managers to easily deploy devices that are preloaded with security enhancements.

“Adding this distinction to our suite of enterprise-level capabilities, like LG GATE, further elevates our premium smartphones for business users and increases confidence for discerning IT decision makers,” said Chris Yie, the head of mobile operations at LG USA.

The Android Enterprise Recommended program curates a selection of validated devices and services that meet enterprise requirements from approved partners who are trained and supported by Google. The aim of this program is to make the deployment of Android devices easier and more consistent.
